Locations: Central Coast + Mobile
Clinical Interests: Alternative communication (AAC), ASD, intellectual disability and learning difficulties.
Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology)

Rachel has over a decade of experience in the disability sector. She has worked with people with different disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities. She has the capability to work with clients with complex needs and varying stages of communication skills. Rachel also knows Key Word Sign (KWS).

Rachel has extensive experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She understands the various formats of alternative communication supports such as tablets, apps, communication devices and communication books.

The benefits of using AAC include the ability to express yourself, understand and regulate emotion, access the community, increase social communication and enable you to live a more independent life.

Rachel will recommend the most suitable AAC for you according to your needs.

Rachel supports workplaces and the community to become more accessible environments. She works part time at Adult Speech Therapy.
